clutter and happiness

I recently read Gretchen Rubin’s  The Happiness Project  and, although it’s not a book about organizing, her writing about happiness refers to a number of organizing principles.

I just discovered that she has a blog, too, and one of her posts expresses how happy  it made her to clear clutter.

I truly believe that clutter causes unhappiness.  It causes tension between people and keeps you from enjoying yourself in your spaces.  Gretchen proves my assertion that it really is the little moments in life that can bring us great joy.
